Skill Development Academy Launched

Brigade Foundation has launched the first phase of the Brigade-BCIC Skill Development Academy (BBSDA) – Centre of Excellence, located on a 5-acre site in Aerospace Park, Bangalore North. This initiative, in partnership with the Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce (BCIC), is a not-for-profit venture aimed at improving the lives of unemployed and underemployed individuals while addressing industry needs.

BBSDA will focus on training candidates in sectors such as construction, hospi- tality & tourism, manufacturing, and retail, equipping them with the skills needed for sustainable employment.

The state-of-the-art facility is designed to train 120 candidates per cycle, offering a comprehensive training programme that combines domain- specific skills, soft skills, and IT skills, ensuring holistic development for enhanced career prospects.

In the coming year, BBSDA plans to train 400 candidates across construction, retail, and hospitality sectors, helping them secure gainful employment. Over the next five years, the goal is to positively impact 6,000 youth across Karnataka through world-class training and job creation.
