Summersalt

A concert by Summersalt was presented in October. Summersalt is a folk-fusion band deeply rooted in the indigenous music of Meghalaya. Blending Khasi and English lyrics, their songs were marked by wit and humor. The band's unique sound incorporated both standard and lesser-known indigenous instruments, reflecting the rich culture of the Khasi Community.

Widely recognized in Meghalaya, Summersalt has become synonymous with preserving and celebrating the hill culture. Their music is a tribute to the life, history, struggles, joys, fears, hopes, and future of the people.

Summersalt actively engages in government and corporate projects to champion the cause of preserving hill culture, whether through dance, music, food, or textiles.

Foottapping hill music was presented to uplift the audience after a week of hard work, and attendees got an opportunity to play indigenous instruments alongside the band.
