BBSDA launched its inaugural Skill Development Centre at Orion Avenue Mall, Bengaluru, in partnership with Mumbai-based NGO "TRRAIN." The center offers employment-linked training programs for People with Disabilities (PWDs). Despite initial accessibility challenges, the program's success has spurred increased demand for admissions. With four batches completed and the fifth underway, 100 candidates have been trained, with 73 successfully placed in Bengaluru and Bangarpet towns.

The programme's unique selling point includes comprehensive training in retail, back-end operations, IT skills, and life skills, enabling candidates to qualify for diverse job roles. Mr. Sharankumar, a participant from earlier batches, shares his inspiring journey of overcoming disability through BBSDA's training and support. After 45 days of intensive training, he secured a job at Vishal Mega Mart in Kothanur, Bangalore, earning INR 15,200 monthly. His success story underscores the transformative impact of the programme.
