Namma Metro, soon to reach Mysuru Road
Bangaloreans can soon travel by Namma Metro from Byappanahalli to Mysuru Road on the East-West Corridor. The true utility of Metro would be felt once the entire stretch of 18.2 km of the East-West Corridor, through the City’s nerve centre Majestic, is thrown open to the public by April 2016.
The work on North-South Corridor is also nearing completion. Namma Metro has set a three-and-a-half month target to open its services to commuters. The BMRCL is targeting commercial operation of Northern line, Nagasandra to Kempegowda Station, by June 2016, Kempegowda Station to City Market and Yelachenahalli (Kanakapura Road) by July 2016.
