Orion Shopping Festival & Diwali Décor
Bangalore’s most loved Shopping Festival was held from 15 October to 15 November. These 31 days of festivity had customers (who purchased for Rs. 4000 and above) winning hourly, daily, weekly and bumper prizes.
Onam
Orion Mall celebrated the very popular harvest festival – Onam in style. A set was erected representing the temple architecture complete with pookalam, the ever gracious kathakali dancers and of course the Mavelli who brings along with him good luck, health and prosperity.
Eid
On the occasion of Eid, a photo opportunity in the form of an installation greeted customers at the Orion Mall entrance.
Krishna Janmashtami
On the occasion of the Birth Anniversary of Lord Krishna, Orion Mall recreated a village set up with a home and a well depicting Lord Krishna’s home.
Ganesh Chaturthi
On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, a beautiful statue was set up at the central bridge at Orion Mall. Six artists painstakingly created a Ganesha statue with over 1,65,000 beads. The 6 feet tall statue had several devotees pose against the idol to take photographs.
Launch of the GAP store
The first GAP store in South India was launched on 25 September amidst a massive crowd. The store was inaugurated by South Indian celebrity Shruti Haasan, Mr. M R Jaishankar, CMD, Brigade Group, Mr. J Suresh MD and CEO, Arvind Lifestyle Ltd. and Mr. Oliver Kaye, Business Head, Gap India.
Gandhi Jayanti
On Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary, Bangalore International Arts Festival was held at the Lakeside. The concert was an Indo-Jazz Fusion event featuring Dr. Suma Sudhindra (Veena), Prakash Sontakke (Slide Guitar), Gerard Machado (Electric Guitar), Anooru Mani (Drums), Shadrach Solomon (Keyboard) and KN Prakash (Bass Guitar).
Orion Flower Show
Flowers are Nature’s beautiful creations and Orion Mall was all set to elevate the beauty of these blossoms to an entirely new level. Between 17 and 19 July, 8 flower-based installations were put up at strategic locations around the mall. Each of these mesmerizing installations were made from real flowers.
Independence Day
On Independence Day, Orion Mall welcomed its customers with a tri- colour installation at the entrance. The Indian flag was hoisted by the lakeside by the Orion Mall Management team. Also on showcase was a gallery that chronicled all the freedom fighters and other prominent Indian leaders who made this day possible.
Air Force Symphony Performance
Visitors to Orion Mall were in for a live musical treat by the Lakeside on 8 August. Air Warrior Symphony Orchestra (AWSO) of the Indian Air Force fame entertained the audience, just ahead of the Independence Day celebrations. It was heart- warming to see the crowd enjoying music and soaking in patriotism and harmony.
Stylish By Nature Blogger’s Visit
Shalini Chopra, a famous Fashion Blogger and her Stylish By Nature Club was invited to spend the day at Orion Mall. Candid moments were captured on camera and they had a fabulous day bowling, dining, relaxing, shopping and also getting stylish makeovers.
