Celebrating 25 Years at Brigade

Philomena

Mrs. Philomena K J , is a very proud Brigadier who has completed 25 years of service with Brigade Group. She joined the Organisation as a Accounts Executive to rise to the level of General Manager – Finance.

This is what she had to say about her career with Brigade:
“There hasn’t been a single day in my 25 years career that I did not want to come to work here. I love my job and I enjoy working with Brigade Group. I have been in various verticals of the Company like Hospitality, Enterprises, Mall Management etc., and I have grown with the Company. Brigade has not only supported me in my career but also in my personal life.

My career is challenging and rewarding. I did my best and I was rewarded well. I am proud to be a part of the team which achieved success that we all can be proud of. A proudly beaming Philo, as she is fondly called, has reasons to be with Brigade She says with gleaming eyes, “ There is no petty politics here, you get the credit when you deserve. For me it is not a job, it’s a mission. Our chairman loathes mediocrity so we always look for quality in every walk of life. It is a culture here to work for quality. The Strong leadership with a clear vision and strong ethics makes us do more, willingly. There is creativity and innovation coupled with mutual respect for every Brigadier in the organisation. I am sure that with the strength of integrity and ethics followed in the Company, it will reach all its goals and outperform in the coming years.”

 

Malathi

Mrs. Malathi Vijayan has been working with Brigade for 25 dazzling years in the Chairman’s Office. She has seen the Company grow from a small one room office on Brigade road to a sprawling office overlooking Bangalore city at a height of 421 Ft in the World Trade Center. She is also a witness to all the mile stones that the Company has achieved in the process.

Here is what she has to say about this journey:
I am proud to be a Brigadier and I have been one, for 25 brilliant years and am keen on seeing the Company top the ranks in the industry year on year.

I am even proud to be working with our Chairman Mr Jaishankar. It is a great feeling to work with such a visionary. He has the uncanny knack of seeing an opportunity where most others would brush it off as a worthless bauble . I have always admired his thought provoking speeches and an incomparable forethought. I have spent more time in the office than at home. In fact, it was possible as it has a very homely atmosphere. The camaraderie has held the organization together and helped it grow from strength to strength.

Brigade has always taken care of its people which is why we are growing in leaps and bounds and in the right direction. The fact that we are a Great Place to Work for 4 years in a row is just the testimony of how we care for people even though we work with brick and mortar.

 

Shanti Prakash

Mr.Shanti Prakash joined Brigade group in 1987 completed his 25 years of glorious service in 2012. He has seen the ups and downs that the Corporation has gone through during this period.

The following are the excerpts of the discussion on his journey: The following are the excerpts of the discussion on his journey: Brigade was a small outfit with just about 6 or 7 people in the Company then, we are now reaching a staff strength of almost 600 employees. For me it has been a fantastic journey of learning. I knew nothing when I joined Brigade.I have learnt everything from Brigade. This is my School, college and University. Brigade as I have seen has a very open culture. All the senior management members are easily accessible for all types of queries. I used to directly work under Mr Jaishankar, our CMD. He is a stickler for quality. Those days when we had just 1 or 2 projects, he used to come to the site early in the morning and inspect every aspect of work. It is this penchant for quality that has made Brigade’s name today synonymous with quality. All other Seniors who joined the Company subsequently continued this tradition of maintaining quality. I am generally an aloof personality. I was confined to my work and deadlines but I would enjoy the celebrations as we grew, may it be the various festivals, Brigade Fest, etc. Our CMD ensured a good mix of work and fun.

I have seen many accolades that the company has earned and I have now lost count of it. I know anything we do will win an award or attain an acclaim simply because it is done with passion.
